OUR STORY

The world has changed, we believe the way we brand should change with it.

Our team has been on both sides of the branding equation – at traditional agencies and at companies that hire agencies. We’ve seen communication break down, creativity die, and strong ideas dissolve into weak work products. 

We believe there is a better way to work together. We started Giant Shoulders to prove it.

Tino Chow

FOUNDER & PRINCIPAL OF EXPERIENCE

Tino Chow comes to branding with an unexpected background. As a former military officer in the army of Singapore who went to art school, Tino discovered his niche by combining his experience in operations with creativity. His passion is helping companies and startups leverage the power of brand strategy, design thinking, and design doing in order to maximize their position in their market. 

Before starting Giant Shoulders, Tino sent a decade building creative cultures and collaborative teams at agencies in New York and startups in Silicon Valley. 

 

David Barnum

PRINCIPAL OF BRAND

David Barnum is a through and through brand guy. Having grown up in the madmen ad age, David followed his father’s footsteps into a career in advertising and design. In his 30-year career, David witnessed several major industry changes, from digitization in the early 90s to the entrepreneurial tech boom of the past 15 years. He combines his knowledge in strategy and design with the understanding of business and technology to help businesses navigate inevitable change.

Prior to Giant Shoulders, David ran a successful branding firm that later merged with a digital marketing agency. He also moonlights as a founding member and advisor to startups and has a 4th degree black belt. David means business.
